Collegiate church esplanade (2)In front of the entrance to the collegiate church is a large paved esplanade in the middle of which stands a statue of Guillaume Farel (1489-1565), the French preacher who was one of the pioneers of the Protestant reformation and played an important role in the expansion of Protestantism in French-speaking Switzerland.
