Church of Sant´Orso

The capital of the Cogne valley is locally called Veulla, which simply means "town". This beautiful village is built along the Grand'Eyvia torrent (which means "big water" in the local dialect), in a basin where several valleys end, including the Valnontey, to the south, which rises to the foot of the Gran Paradiso, a summit of the Alps culminating at 4061m.
