Stalde (1)This path, which is closed to traffic, is the only way to reach the old castle and church in Raron. Even if you don’t feel up to the climb, the walk is well worth it for the architectural beauty of the old houses that line this historic part of the village. A little further up, you can head back down via Oberdorfgasse, which has also retained its authentic character.
