Gonia Monastery (3)During your visit, be sure to take a moment to relax on the small terrace, which offers a magnificent view of the sea. A few cannonballs there serve as a reminder that the monastery endured many trials and tribulations during the Ottoman invasions. One of them remains embedded in the wall, whilst the others adorn the parapet.
