Phaistos
A great mysteryIt was at the archaeological site of the Minoan palace at Phaistos that, in 1908, a mysterious fired clay disc was discovered, engraved on both sides with hieroglyphs which, to this day, have defied all attempts at translation. Its authenticity has never been proven, and the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, where it is on display, refuses to allow any in-depth study of it.
