An extraordinary Alpine cirque at the very end of a dizzying (and dangerous) road. Two short strolls at Lake Derborence, one of Switzerland's most famous destinations, and Lake Godey, less well known but equally spectacular. A word of advice: take the post bus to minimise the heart-stopping moments on the road that climbs up to this rocky chaos, created by a natural disaster in the 18th century.
